Our school has been fortunate enough this year to have a good handfull of kids goin down. Shot Puters, sprinters, a long distance runner, a couple of jumpers and a vaulter  of coarse!!! Wish us luck!

The Griffins' Dianna Noonan closed out the day by prevailing in a three-way battle for top honors in the pole vault (12 feet).

"I didn't do so well at conference a couple of days ago, so I was hoping to go higher today," said Noonan, who had a personal-best effort. "No one really knows who I am, so I wanted to put my name out there. I also wanted to PR (personal record) today, and I did by six inches."

Yeah, great job to Noonan, she's really improved since i last competed against her, it looks like outdoor state is gonna be interesting....

...too bad though that we had to go after the boys!!!! It took like 5 hours before we could even warmup and we were SUPPOSED to go first but weren't notified till right before the meet. The armory was empty by the time we girls got to go, but i have to admit good old Jake did put on quite a show!! However, i did learn a good lesson about having to wait a long time while trying to keep your adreniline low, a lot of the other girls such as myself were pretty "mentally" drained by our jumping time, not all of us though, the girls who placed 1st through 5th were very in control of their emotions and are veterans of this type of "waiting" to compete situation.
