Saluki Pole Vault Clinic

Southern Illinois University (Carbondale, IL) will host its annual indoor pole vualt clinic on January 10th, 2009. Vaulters of all ability levels are welcome.

This is a great clinic. I will be there and if anyone else can make it I suggest going. Great way to get some vaulting in before the season starts.

Saluki track and field clinic set for January

CARBONDALE -- Junior high and high school student athletes can learn new skills and techniques to improve their track and field performance at the Southern Illinois University Carbondale Division of Continuing Education’s 2009 Saluki Track and Field Clinic Jan. 10 and 11, 2009.

The focus on Saturday, Jan. 10, will be on the pole vault, shot put and discus events. The second day’s concentration will be on sprints, hurdles and jumps. Each session runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Student Recreation Center.

Participants in both clinics will receive a personalized evaluation of their jumping and throwing techniques. The registration fee is $100 for one day or $150 for both days. The registration deadline is Jan. 2, 2009.
