CHATHAM — By all accounts, Chatham Glenwood High School junior Pia Goodman is an intelligent young woman.

As a student, she’s among the best in the Class of 2009 with a rank 22nd in a class of 263. Her grade-point average is 5.091 on a weighted 4.0 scale. Her schedule is full of advanced-placement and honors classes.
The future could include an appointment to the United States Air Force Academy.
Goodman’s reasoning in considering a service academy?
“It would be really cool to serve and do that,â€
