A great place to check for College Students to check is www.studentuniverse.com I found tickets there from Grand Rapids, MI to Reno for $390 less than a month before the Summit.

Becca and others always seem to reccomend Southwest Airlines if traveling with poles. Sadly, they are not on Student Universe because it is another site put together by the big airlines to keep fares for discount and startup airlines MUCH less accessable than those from their airlines

If you are taking poles, SOUTHWEST. If not, whatever you can find for cheapest I guess.

US Airways has merged with America West and US Airways appears to have adopted the America West Policy of flying poles FREE as part of the checked bag allowance.

I agree. Best airline America West AKA USAirways now.

Southwest charges $50 each way for poles. USAir is free up to 16 feet.

Out of curiousity, I checked out America West. It was almost $1000.00 round trip. That was coach. About double for first class.

I'm sticking with SWA when I can. No frills, no smooth landing, but they're usually cheaper than everyone else.
