I know that the Nugget is offering a special rate, is there any other reason to stay at the Nugget? There seems to be hotels that are cheaper (Peppermill, Circus Circus etc) What is the best method of transportation to get to the Summit from the hotels?

The vaulting is at the Livestock Arena, but everything else is at the Nugget. If you stay somewhere else, you need to either bring or rent a car to shuttle yourself around, take a cab everywhere, or I guess you could make extensive use of the airport shuttles to and from all the hotels.
The Nugget is nice, and unless you are driving yourself and have easy/free access to a car, it's probably not worth the hassle to stay somewhere else.

Most competitors and coaches stay at the nugget. Buses for the Livestock center leave from the Nugget and when it is snowing that is important.
Last year, I met ,and had conversations with, all kinds of people in the elevator etc. For example: Erin Ayers, Te Harvey, Stacy Dragila, Jeff Hartwig, Erica Bartilona and many more who aren't famous yet..... It is worth the price!

You can walk to the Livestock Center from the Holiday Inn or Motel 6. It's the equivalent of about 2 blocks. You would be gambling on non-crappy weather if you stayed at either. It snowed last (this) year.
I kind of miss the Holiday Inn and their little crappy gaming area.
I know some people who miss the walk across the parking lot . . .

Do you get anything added by booking through the Summit website? I think I can get a better rate.

It was like a mile walk from the Holiday Inn to the Livestock Arena. At least it felt like it with a hangover.

I'll second that. Remember kids, if Jason Hinkin asks you to join him for a beer the night before you have to vault at 9am the next day, just say NO!
