I dont know if the Finnish one is showing up weird to anyone else, but Pole Vault in finnish is seiväshyppy and pole vaulter is seiväshyppyjä

This is an old post, but I'm now looking for the same information. I found this website

but I can't tell if someone translated literally or if these are actual terms used for "pole vault". There's also the question of whether we want "pole vault" as a noun to name the event or as a verb - and, if as a verb, as the infinitive or with which person and number.

Oh - this isn't a grammar forum? Ooopppsss.
