Feofanova wins Russian Indoor Championship

Svetlana Feofanova gained victory in the first finale in the championships of Russia for indoor light athletics, which began today in Moscow, after winning the pole vault with a clearance of 4.55 meters.

Second place was occupied by Tatiana Polnova, who took 4.50 meters. Third place, with a result of 4.20 meters, was shared the by the two Anastasias: Kiryanova and Shvedova [nee Ivanova --BF].

Nobody expected Dmitriy Starodubtsev to win the men’s Pole Vault. His result was rather modest, a vault of 5.65m but the World Junior champion was the youngest among all participants. The World and European Indoor champion Igor Pavlov could only manage 5.60m for silver, while Dmitriy Kuptzov was third on count-back with the same result.

Wow, Svetlana has really upgraded her looks since the last time I saw a picture of her. :yes: Almost didn't recognize her.
