Grigorieva raises bar in European training
Olympic silver medallist Tatiana Grigorieva will spend Christmas with her family in Russia before returning to Australia in the New Year to attempt to qualify for March's Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
Her manager Rick Carter says the vaulter has been training hard in Europe.
"She just completed two months training in Italy under the world's best pole vault coach Vitaly Petrov, and she's also been training with Yelena Isinbayeva, who's the record holder in the pole vault," he explained.
"She'll be back in early to mid-January and have two or three competitions, and compete in the selection trials for the Commonwealth Games in early February."
