Rogowska vaults 4.82m Polish record

At the 7th edition of the international Pole Vault meeting in Beckum, Germany, yesterday, Sunday 21 August, 24-year-old Anna Rogowska, the Olympic bronze medallist, set a new Polish record 4.82m.

With the help of the 3000 enthusiastic spectators in Beckum, a small town close to Dortmund, the Pole cleared the record height on her second attempt. She then attacked 4.90m, and all three of her attempts looked very close.

Pole vault jumper Anna Rogowska has set a new national record of 4meters 82centimeters, which is the second best result in the world this year. During a meeting in Germany, the Polish bronze Olympic medallist from Athens, who finished only sixth in this month’s World championships in Helsinki, left the rest of the field way behind. The second jumper finished 30 centimeters lower than Anna Rogowska.
