After I posted the all-time top 10, Scott Go Pre asked, "who are the top fifteen?" achtungpv's response was, as usual, right on. I'll extend it to the top twenty and then back off. I'm beginning to be uncomfortable about taking more than my share of forum time, but I'll send the women's top twenty, just to be fair to the fairer. If you'd like to go beyond twenty, a source I find to be most useful is Peter Larsson's Track and Field All-time Performances Homepage <www.algonet.se/~pela 2/>.

I feel bad for Johnson and Huffman....so close to 6.00m I think i would be pretty dissapointed to come so close and not get it. But then again, Huffman had a cool top, and Johnson had cool glasses.

crpat2 asked, "did you forget toby or am i missing something here?"

Sorry. Don't know how Toby, with 6.00 at Modesto last year, got lost between the Top 10 and Top 20 lists. He should have been listed just after Lobinger in the latter, as he was in the former.

There just has to be something wrong with my latest bottling of Cabernet Sauvignon . . .

Didn't Galfione jump 6.00 in Japan in 1999 and Ecker go 6.00 in 2001?

Or is this just an outdoor list?

Galfione jumped 6.00 at the indoor world championships back in whatever year, but I don't know if this is just an outdoor list we are looking at.
Also, I think Eckar jumped 6.00 also. LON

Ecker jumped 6.00m indoors. Galfione jumped that indoors too and also at an exhibition.
