Bjorn, take that crossbar out for a nice German dinner, a SCHTEINE of bier, and take her home with you. You owe her.

But really, nice jump. 2 x 5.92m indoor plus an 82... wow... And all in those gym shorts that Nike wind tunnel lab assistants would pull him off the track for wearing.

I hope Otto remains "un"sponsored by a big company (unless the offer him huge). I think its awesome to see him doing well and in these miss matched uniforms. Nike shoes, Adidas board shorts, wife beater top (not really). Adds some appeal IMO rather than the norm Nike or Adi suit. He's a leader of the blue collar vaulters out there holding it down in the "B" and "C" meets.

Does he still wear shorts that say "Pole Vault" on the butt?

First of all, Bjorn = Awesome.

Secondly, after watching the darkhorse win in Karlsruhe, it's great to see such a Bjorn continue his momentum.

Hello All.

First of all...

This is true. I learned in 2007 while in Osaka with my two good friends Tom Hintenhaus and Anatoli Chernobai that Bjorn was in fact awesome.

I wonder if the German national team will issue him some special basketball shorts to compete in. I hope so. Coincidentally, as my friend Hintenhaus used to always say, when it comes to championships, you dance with the girl that brought you there. Bjorn, go get down in those baggies, my friend.

By the way....

Heard he made another big one 5.84m this weekend and then tried a world record "+.01" - 6.17m.... is this true?
