Swedish Pole Vaulters are performing extremely well this indoor season. Friday Malin Dahlström jumped a swedish indoor record 4.50. Today Angelica Bengtsson jumped 4.52 new WORLD RECORD for juniors. Angelica will be 18 later this year and won the junior World Championship last summer.

Here is a video of the record jump

The link might be removed so I will update as soon as I find it on Youtube !

Angelica cleared the hight in first attempt and had some really good jumps at 4.57 as well.

Impressive. She certainly still has a ton of technical areas to improve on, I'm guessing there are many more PRs in her future!

I'm impressed. It looks like it is about 30" over her hand grip!

Even spirits are not gonna last this kind of punishment forever. Top of pole is going down immediately after "take-off". Reminds me of Renaud's latest pole explosion.
Swing is impressive, and so is her speed on the runway. Could improve her pole carry somewhat (but not easy with such a small frame though).
