Christian North will be one of the British athletes competing
GREAT heights are nothing new in Canary Wharf, but this promises to be a first.
The estate will host a street pole vault contest at lunchtime on Friday featuring Britain's leading vaulters.
The athletes will be soaring well over five metres into the sky, higher than a London bus, at Montgomery Square (next to the Clifford Chance building) from 12.30pm.
The event is being staged to promote the Aviva London Grand Prix, which is being held on August 13 and 14 at Crystal Palace.
