No girl has ever jumped her age ... but Liz came very close at age 12! :star:

I added Liz' 4.40 mark, but I don't know what city it was in. All other marks are from the same PDF as the boys' (above).

Kirk

EDITS: Added Perth as the location of Liz Parnov's new WR for W15, and corrected the date.

The list differs from the list in BTB. The record in the 12 year age group in BTB is listed as 3.82m and belongs to a swedish kid, Melker Svärd Jacobsson. He's now 16, and has recently jumped 5.06m.

Thanks. I updated the location in my list (above). Is Apr 18th the right date? The article was written on the 19th, so I just assumed it was on the day before the article.

For me these lists serve as cautionary tales.

Other than Lena, Tarasov, and Bagyula - not an international medalist in the bunch.

Or how about: No American male who jumped 18' in high school ever won an international medal.

Just because you can doesn't mean you should?

Chew on that for a piece.

While he didn't go more than a foot over his age at 19... 2 and a half over your age at 15 is pretty ridiculous...appears to be the highest age to height margin ever.

Jumping almost 2 and a half feet over your age is SICK!!! :star:

In case you're wondering about Davis and his PV career after his 5.90, here's what I found ... http://www.polevaultpower.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=18115.
