COMPLETE MADNESS SPORTS - PRESS RELEASE
February 8th, 2004 - Sheffield, UK
CMS pole vaulters Keith Higham and Christian North narrowly missed out on the medal podium at the UK National Championships and World Indoor Championships trials when they finished equal 4th today.
Both athletes have jumped in excess of 5m this summer and were hoping to build on that to push themselves into the medal places. As it was despite first time clearances at 4.95m both were unable to clear at 5.10m and bowed out of the competition.
The competition was won by Ashley Swain of Team Solent from a second Steve Rippon coached athlete Tim Thomas of Cardiff. Both set new indoor personal bests in the process.
Full results.
