Yuriy Volkov at the vault summit years ago said that Igor had a standing LJ PR of 4m. Dunno if that was just hyperbole...

Based on a book I read in the '80's the Standing Long jump is THE test the Soviets used for Special Forces entry. Including Athletics measurements.
It was an interesting read!

If I could only have one testing parameter, I would go with standing LJ. It is not fool proof, but in my experience it is a better indicator of success than any other single test.
