Wow. The awesomeness of the video is directly proportional to the crappyness of the audio.
It's nice to see some of the lower or less perfect clearances. Especially the ones where he didn't have a great jump and really has to fight to get over.
I didn't know he chucked his pole so much!

This is a good example of what people need to understand about Human Performance within a model of training. Some people get closer to excepatable levels than others. But you strive for perfection.

At 30 sec from beginning there is a jump from 1990 European Championship. I was official there, I think I saw myself for a short moment .

While I'm no heavy metal fanatic myself, being a bit of an "extreme" sport I thought more pole vaulters would be fans of the heavy stuff...

agreed. i'm big into metal and find it a perfect compliment to vaulting. I'm not a fan of the "Cookie Monster" vocals, but a big metal fan nonetheless.
