Ouch... a rough day for Murer. Out with an NH after 4.51. :(

Golubchikova and Pyrek are crusing right along though.

And add Rogowska to that list too.

Big bonus in Bydgoszcz
19 February 2008

Can she make it World record number 22 tonight?
With a prize purse of €30,000 Euros for a World Indoor record and €50,000 Euros for an overall World record, the European Athletics Indoor Permit Meeting in Bydgoszcz tonight will play to a sell-out crowd of 6,000 spectators.

This 6th Pedro's Cup Indoor Meeting boasts some of the World's finest competitors in it's field, including unbeatable Russian Vaulting sensation Yelena Isinbayeva who has flown by private jet from the Lareus Awards in St.Petersburg with her mentor and Lifetime Achievement award winner Sergey Bubka to challenge her own meet record (4.84m, 2007). Considering her recent record breaking form in Donyetsk (4.95m) Isinbayeva is expected to breeze to at least new meeting record, if not more.

The best of the rest of the Pole Vault competition includes Isinbayeva's fellow Russians, Yelena Golubchikova (currently number two on the World best lists) and Svetlana Feofanova - the last athlete to beat Isinbayeva indoors, back in February 2004. Ukrainian record holder, Natalya Kushch is also in the field, along with the home elite stars, Monika Pyrek and Anna Rogowska.

Rogowska misses 3 times at 4.61, Feofanova, Isinbayeva, Pyrek, and Golubchikova make it. Bar goes to 4.71 and Isinbayeva passes.

Hmmm. The results table doesn't show Rogowska taking a third attempt at 4.61 or passing it. But Golubchikova and Pyrek have both attempted 4.71 now (and missed). I sure hope she didn't hurt herself again.

Edit: Now they're showing a third miss for Rogowska. Not good news I guess, but better than an injury.
