Tatiana the gladiator

November 19, 2007 01:15am
SHE'S conquered the pole vault, won Olympic medals, started spruiking exercise equipment and opened a dessert bar.

Now word is former Adelaidean Tatiana Grigorieva will be a Gladiator.

Rumour is the Olympic beauty secretly auditioned for a gig on the physically challenging show, which should start filming early next year.

Tatiana's no stranger to donning skimpy outfits for variety-style TV, having hot-footed it during a spot on Channel 7's Dancing with the Stars, right, earlier this year.

With Jaslyn Hewitt apparently not keen on being a small-screen warrior, it's believed producers are on the hunt for a couple of celebrity gladiators among the unknown fitness freaks.

If she's 30, and I'm 31, I likely competed in some of the same meets. At that time (1995-98) the women's pv was an exhibition event at all the meets we went to, but not a scoring event at conference championships.
