SEPANG: Although they have been crowned as the Asian champions, high jumper Lee Hup Wei and pole vaulter Roslinda Samsu will not rest on their laurels.

The two gold medallists in the just concluded Asian Track and Field (ATF) Championships in Amman still have milestones to chase and they hope to achieve them before the year is over.

Roslinda stands at 1.60m tall but she is certainly aiming to scale greater heights. The Kedah-born lass wants to become the first Malaysian athlete to qualify under Category A for the Beijing Olympics and she has two world-level competitions to do it.

Roslinda holds the national record of 4.40m, which is the A qualifying mark for the Olympics. She already has a place in the Games after scaling 4.30m to win the gold medal in the Kazakhstan Open in June.

Roslinda leave for Bangkok next week to compete in the World University Games, which begin on Aug 8. She has another shot at achieving her goal in the World Championships in Osaka end of the month.
