Canberra - Howe and Boyd 4.45

After a slow start, the meeting produced five world championships A-standards by Australians. Commonwealth champion Kym Howe and Alana Boyd both cleared 4.45 metres in the women's pole vault, equalling the A-mark. Howe won on countback.
