I would try to do some sprints, lots of pole runs, and maybe throw some plyometrix in there with some abb workouts. The most important part of the vault is the run and plant and you can work on those two a lot without actually jumping good luck.

people will tell you a million different things to do.

some will say to leave vaulting alone ALL summer so you dont get burnt out.... which is what i like to do...

1. STAY ACTIVE
2. Lift ( not for bulk)
3. LIGHT conditioning ( some sprints but not all out)
4. HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my boys would take at least 3 weeks off after summer track was over...but then they would swim and work out with the pole in the pool. and they started lifting again. jog and swim just to stay in shape but do it the fun way.... basketball, tennis, play around in the gymnastics room

Pole Vault work in a pool, i think thats a great idea. I mean its kinda like going in slow motion so you can work and see everything. Or atleast thats what i think it would be like........
