How do I get inverted?

How do I get inverted?

ok, i am just starting to get my pole to bend, and have a good plant. but when i get my arms straight and my body extended, i am having a very hard time driving my knee up and rocking back to get inverted. can anyone help? id appreciate it.

I was having the same problem just yesterday. The things that helped me were to run faster, and to get stronger in your upper body. Push-ups and crunches help with those.

You have to swing your legs to vertical before you rock back. You should probably work on kicking you trail leg through.

Do lots and lots of pop-ups...make sure to drive your knee.

Also, try putting up the bar about 3 feet higher than what you can clear and just try kicking it. Then when you vault you will know what it feels like when you are inverted.
