Trouble bending

I would suggest reading through some of the discussions on the beginner forum. During the vault, you should not be trying to bend the pole. The focus should be placed more one a proper run, plant motion, and takeoff.

As a 6 foot vaulter do not focus on bending the pole.

Focus on performing all the technical aspects of the vault correctly first.

When you can jump your grip or better you might then try using poles that will bend from your speed and weight, not pushing with the bottom hand yet. Save that for later.
