One of the meet's highlights came when South Eugene's Lindsay Beard cleared a state-best 12-1 in the pole vault.

"South Eugene's girls are very good," Rowan said.

GIRLS

POLE VAULT — 1, Lindsay Beard, SE, 12-1; 2, Chelsee Kessler, SM, 8-0; 3, Paige Granger, SM, 7-6.

Just curious, does anyone know of a better combined height by a brother and sister in the same high school meet?

Perhaps by Chelsea and Clay Johnson when she was a senior and he was a junior or soph? Don't actually have any numbers on that, though.
