Skipper to NAIA??????

Unread postby RxVaulter » Tue Jul 01, 2003 9:32 pm

Given Skipper's academic problems, wouldn't it make sense for him to look at one of the big NAIA schools- Azuza, life, lindenwood, etc...Has anyone heard anything about this or is he going to be stuck in Juco?

As far as I have heard he is not even going to college next year. He's training for the olympic trials in Jonesboro,Ark. Then after that he doesn't know. Just what I have heard though.

Earl Bell will never take this kid..Why would he want to babysit when he's busy with FOUR OTHER (literate) potential olympians?

And why would you turn down the best highschool vaulter ever? I dont care if your coaching 4 6m jumpers the more people the more you push one another!

Earl is the only coach who can LEGALLY coach a non-ncaa athlete.
sorry, but skipper cant "push" Tye, Diesel, or Stew. Maybe he'd be a good partner for jill or kelly.

I would imagine that an NCAA coach can coach whatever post-HS athletes they want. Look at all the elites that train with Anthony at UCLA. Lots of elites train with collegiate coaches.

Well maybe he cant push them but they can push him. And you never know he might possibly push them in a couple of years. Im just saying hes a high school athlete, you train him w/ the best jumpers in the us and I think he will improve alot!

Before this gets started, I'm not coaching him unless he is in school. Chances are he will not be in Jonesboro, no matter what he has told me. Just my opinion. I doubt he goes to school this year though. LB
