Pole vault leads Coyotes’ effort at state

The pole vault has been a strength of the Williston High School girls track and field team all season.

And it showed why this weekend at the North Dakota State High School Track and Field meet at the Bismarck Community Bowl.

Williston placed its four vaulters in the top seven in the finals at Friday's event in Bismarck, marking one of the few times a school has placed that many athletes in a single event. "It's the first time Williston will have four people up on the podium," said Williston's Hailey Horob.
