Delaware Vaulters?

Unread postby USMC Vaulter » Mon Mar 21, 2005 1:15 pm

Are there any other vaulters from Delaware on this site???

Looking for some guys/gals who might want to get together to vault and/or go to some competitions this summer. Possibly to start a USATF sanctioned club.

I'm going to post this in the Northeast region too in case any Maryland/Southern PA vaulters are interested in joining in.

Thanks for the interest.
I'm working on getting my website online as soon as possible (it will have all the club info).
I'm pretty sure I'll be able to work out all the kinks on gettin this started within the next few days. Keep checking for updates - I'll post them as soon as I can.

And now a quick update on the new club I'm starting.
The website domain and everything is good to go, just waiting for the site to be finished before I upload it (I'm personally not the one designing it).
The application for the club has been sent off to the USATF so I'm just waiting for their approval before an official announcement is sent out.
Also, I should be ordering the roll out runway for the pit at my house by weeks end, so the whole set up there should be finished soon.

I think those are all the updates for now. Any tips or advice or input are more than welcome if you have them.

**Update**

Ok - so I got all kinds of good news yesterday.

1. The runway finally came in (the base was poured last week) - so the rollout rubber in installed.

2. USATF FINALLY got back to me about the club - and it is now OFFICIAL :) I submitted to have it added to the PoleVaultPower club section for the New England and North East regions.

3. I just bought ANOTHER pit - as in a HUGE International size pit, that meets all the requirements for highschool/college/open competitions and such (should be picking it up within the next few weeks)

4. I also purchased 4 more poles to add to my tiny collection I'm trying to build

5. The website is up and running. You can check it out at HighVaultage.com (http://www.HighVaultage.com)
Its kinda struggling, cause its IMPOSSIBLE for me to find time to create/design/build/maintain the thing while I'm in the desert. If anyone has any tips, or thinks they can help out - I'm more than open to the idea.

6. I'm coming home from the desert the first week of May :D just had to add that in there.

Thats all I can think of for now. Thanks to everyone for their interest. Keep in touch and keep checking back for more updates.

Has anyone checked out the site? Just wondering what people think. I'm still working on the development - so input would be appreciated.

Here's the link again.
