Hey does anyone know a facility near the tri-state area where I would be able to get some coaching or attend a camp during the summer. I know it is months away but I want to try to find out soon so I can definitely go. I am currently a 9'6" jumper ready to go higher,I am without a polevault coach so any info helps. Thanks

Where are you? There are quite a few training opportunities these days, so it would be easier for you to narrow it down by location.

I would recommend Apex (http://www.apexvaulting.com/Home.html) or ipolevault (http://www.ipolevault.com/Site/HOME.html). Apex has excellent coaching, facilities, and equipment (poles), not sure how far that would be for you. Ipolevault's schedule is a little more sporadic during the summer, as they have most practice sessions further south(Ocean County), but some in Monmouth County as well...also good coaching and facilities, and they probably have the poles you would need.
Other places include Heights Unlimited (http://www.heightsunlimited.com/) in North Jersey, the Flying Circus in North Jersey/NY, and Vertical Assault in PA. I do not have much experience with these clubs/facilities, so I can't tell you much about them.
In terms of camps in the summer, there are lots. These clubs will probably all offer some kind of training and/or camps. There is also usually a weekend camp in south Jersey with Olympians like Pat Manson, Scott Huffman, etc. that is pretty cool (http://www.verticaladventures.org/). Monmouth University should be pretty close to you, and they have put on a camp for the past few years as well(http://www.gomuhawks.com/ViewArticle.db ... SID=594581).

Good luck and have fun!

Hey I am from Maryland particularly in Montgomery County. Do you know any pole vault coaches that can help me! I am in desperate need of one for outdoor season. We're only two weeks in. Thanks for any help you can give me!

I am in the Towson/Baltimore area and I am the volunteer vault coach at Towson University, http://www.facebook.com/TowsonVaulting. My wife and I both vaulted at college at the University of Delaware and have been helping athletes in the area.
