Jenn Stuczynski upped her seasons mark another 6cm today at the Eastern Michigan University Open clearing 4.68m (15' 4.25"). This jump put her second ever in the US indoors and out behind only Stacy Dragila. This gives Styczynski 6 PRs indoors in just 5 meets this season and has jumped over the 15' mark 3 meets in a row. Today she once again attempted the American Record at 15'9.5". After taking 2 jumps at this height she put the pole away. When Coach Suhr was asked why she didnt take a third attempt, Suhr replied "we simply did not have enough pole today, she was blowing through the cross bar. She has some larger sticks arriving next week." Jenn will take a week off next week, followed by possibly jumping at the vault summit in Reno, NV.

Man I hate that I won't be able to see the elite women's competition this year at Reno. That is going to be one great battle between Jenn and Stacy I bet.

I don't think Stacy is going to be 100% for Reno.

I had the pleasure of watching her final attempt and had someone else video tape her previous ones. I can't wait to see her jump at Reno.

Stuczynski continues her success in women's pole vault
2005 USA Indoor champion Jen Stuczynski continued her world domination of the women's pole vault scene this year by setting another personal best over the weekend.
Stuczynzki cleared 4.68 meters/15 feet, 4.25 inches on Saturday in winning the Eastern Michigan Open at Ypsilanti on January 14, a height second only on the all-time U.S. list behind Stacy Dragila's 4.81m/15-9.25. Her previous best ever clearance of 4.62m/15-2 came last week in winning the Sharon Anderson Memorial Track and Field Meet at the University of Toronto.
Stuczynski currently holds the top five women's pole vault marks in the world this indoor season.

I got to jump with her that day and talk to her a bit after. She was real sweet to my teammates and I. Definitely didn't have the arrogance of someone who just owned you by 3.5ft. I can't wait to see how high she goes!

She jumped today in York, Ontario Canada. She only managed to get 4.30, but after her make of 4.30 the power wnet off for an hour. She just wasn't the same afterwards and missed 4.40m.

2 days after jumping at Millrose? That's gotta be hard on the body.
