Does anyone know how much money a pro vaulter like Tim Mack or Stacy Dragila makes just from vaulting? I saw a pic of someone giving Stacy Dragila 100,000 dollars.

that was probably a check for setting the world record more than likely. Typically that is what you are rewarded if you break one (from my understanding). Anyway, if you are in the vault to make lots of money, sorry, probably not going to happen.

You should be in the sport for the love of it.

but nobody would be able to vault pro if they had no way to buy food and stuff... I know it's nice to think you could be pro for free, but you wouldn't really have time for a job.

A pro guy can make over 100k pretty easily if you have a 19'4" PR and are somewhat constant at 18'8" and above. Tha means only a few in this country are capable of making that much. Add a medal or title and that number goes up a bit.

For the women because records seem to be broken weekly they can make alot more money because it is good for sponsors when records are broken. This will evetually taper off once the record reaches high enough that it is not broken so often.

I joined a few weeks ago. I looks like this message board gets some good conversations going.
