Indoors or Outdoors?

Unread postby uconnvaulta » Mon Mar 15, 2004 12:25 pm

This is a question for everyone out there,
What season do you prefer. im from Uconn and indoors is a lot longer than outdoors and it is a lot better for jumping but i still prefer outdoors even though the weather is horrible because of how the seasons are in college, though i just got back from FL and training and jumping out there, it was awesome jumping outside. for some reason i feel more comfortable outside than inside its a weird feeling but hard explain.

what are your takes on this question

i had my first 'unofficial' indoor season, and i thrive off the weather, i've vaulted my whole life outdoors so indoor was wierd to me. Kinda depressing at some points, snow outside, tiny little area, sometimes it smelled kinda funny..... ( im pretty biased, being from Southern California, so i've gotten sun, and tail winds from the ocean breeze... :P )

Oudoors, for sure. In Southern California, the season lasts for a good 4 months, where as, in Indoors we only competed in 4 meets. I like the indoor atmosphere, but I am always excited when outdoor starts. :)

It depends where I'm vaulting, If its cold, then indoors. If I have a cross wind then indoors, if I have a tail wind and its warm outdoors.

I just like vaulting in good conditions

I like outdoors better! Tail wind and a fast track (UT Austin!), can't beat that!

Don't know how I feel. I think I got my panties in a bunch last outdoors... or something cuz I didn't jump like I expected to. I definitely like indoors, but outdoors is sweet because the sun and the tailwinds...
