Walker is at 18"6" already with no problem. His hand is healed and he is ready to go, so look out.

Walker is back, healthy and is already jumping 18'6" on the bar. He will be a strong contender and is looking for Athens.

I wouldn't doubt Athens. Are you any relation to him. how do you know how high he is vaulting already?

I saw Brad in Reno and he said his hand is still bothering him but it didn't seem to slow him down much.

I hope that guy with the essex lable isnt trying to push those poles, there is something not quite right about them still. When you see a guy shatter the pole into 4 peices the first time it has ever been planted.................alittle shady.

Poles will break my anonymous friend, if they are too light for you.
In most cases a pole that breaks in 4 equal pieces as this one did is a result of overstress.

He is right. Generally if you are loading a pole wrong (meaning= if your step is under or you are on a little stick that you have no business being on) then it will break into 4 or 3 pieces. If a pole is flawed or dinged then it will general break into 2 pieces, that is when you have to worry. One of our vaulters a few years ago was an engineer and did a study on this for a graduate course, where he also proved that carbons break easier on the inside of the bend then fiberglass.
I am not saying that I support ESSX, actually I jump on spirits and the guys at UCS have always been good to me. But I did see some of the elites on stage packing around ESSX, and if they use them, then they are most likely proven poles.

That is true

That is true and I would like to see that data if it is available. That is the problem with carbons poles that Pacer FX had worked out with the single axial wrap. We too think we have also with our Axial system.
If you have the data we would love to see it.

The guy who did the study has moved, but my coach most likely held on to the data, and I'm sure he would not mind sharing it. It's Dave, you know him.
