Hello vaulters! This is my first post so please take it easy on me if I do something wrong. What are some good college vaulting programs in North Carolina? I'm not critical as to what division the school is.

Im not sure if by "programs" you also meant camps, but i saw a thread about Duke PV camp which sounds great! viewtopic.php?f=3&t=23701 I think the only thing in the thread is a link to the site, but it is fairly new so people might comment on it

By program I meant what colleges in North Carolina have a good pole vault team. Sorry for not specifying.

UNC Chapel Hill (in Chapel Hill) is very good and has a full time coach
Duke (in Durham) very good especially on the women's side and has a full time coach
East Carolina (in Greenville) is good and improving rapidly and has a full time coach
Appalachian State (in Boone) has been solid for years and my Alma mater :) and has a full time coach.
UNC Charlotte has been solid on the men's side the head coach does the vault but is not his specialty
UNC Wilmington has been solid for years and has a full time coach
Gardner Webb (in Shelby) is pretty good and has full time coach
Wake Forest (in Winston Salem) is okay at times and I do not know the coaching situation there.

I hope this helps a bit. PM me if you want more detail on any of these schools.

Lees McRae College recently got a vault coach and has improved their vault program significantly. They are a D2 school though but the coach is really good. Actually an alumi of Appalachain State. ;)

Not sure if you're still looking, since the original post was from last year, but Wake Forest in NC now has Tim Sullivan as it's pole vault coach. They have signed a male vaulter for next year and already have several very good women in their program.
