Look at Dyestat.com to the indoor 2003 Calendar. I know there are some in NYC at the Armory. :)

There is a meet at Clemson Dec 5 & 6... IF the Mondo surface is down. My understanding is that anyone jumping high enough can enter. The Mondo surface was supposed to be ready at the end of last indoor season, but they have had problems with the concrete curing. Supposed to be an incredible place to vault when it is ready though. Contact me or ask Chase about it when you talk with him next. If it is not ready we'll have a backup somewhere, Landover, Va Tech, UNC, wherever we can find one. Most meets on the east coast, high school and college do not start until January.

I've heard that there is an indoor meet Dec 6th @ McNeese in Lake Charles, LA but do not see anything on their website.

If you are asking about the Clemson meet it is College/Open, not HS. Many of these meets will allow HS athletes to compete "Unattached" if they are worthy (competing at a very high level) of the competition. Also, you should check with your state HS rules to make sure it is OK with them. In SC the HS athletes may compete in College/Open meets but must not use school equipment or wear a school uniform, and their HS coach can not take them to the meet or pay their entry fee.

I was asking about the McNeese State one in Lake Charles....only because it's about a million miles closer than Clemson!!! :P Arkansas allows competition in open meets as long as no high school athlete is in it competing for their high school and they compete unattached. Also, the same goes for no school uniform, no money, etc.

I understand it to be a college/high school/open meet but you would need to call the school's track office to be certain

I don't know what McNeese looks like now, but the indoor was not pole vaulter friendly last time I was there. The box was a little straight up and down and the basketball goals could get in the way if they were not all the way up. Oh yea, you couldn't wear spikes last I was there, but if they have a roll out now, it would solve that problem and make a difference with the box problem. Ask hurstiger, he can give you some insight, his son goes there.

I will say this though, it sucked, but I still jumped over 17' there so it couldn't be all that bad I guess. LON
