Where: The Woodlands High School, 6101 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381, http://twhs.conroeisd.net/ Come in the second entrance and park along the chain-link fence near the pole vault pits.

Details: This clinic will be the second of a series of "progressive" Houston-area clinics put on by Lone Star Pole Vaulting throughout the Fall and hopefully into Spring 2010. Vaulters who attended the first clinic on September 19th at St. John's school will review and build upon skills and training learned then, while newcomers will learn the basics in ability-groups.

Activities Include:

* How to Train in the Off-Season for Peak Performance in the Spring: vaulting, running, gymnastics, weights, core strength, flexibility, etc... Printed training plans and workouts included.
* Basic (yet HIGHLY EFFECTIVE!) Drills that can be done nearly anywhere with or without a pole vault pit or pole
* Intermediate (but CRUCIAL!) Drills that can be done with just a sand pit (long jump pit) and a pole
* Advanced Drills (THAT ACTUALLY WORK!) that require a pole vault pit and pole
* Video Analysis of Elite Vaulters versus yourself - vaulters will be filmed and analyzed
* POLE VAULTING! and LOTS of it! We don't just talk about it and drill, we actually clear bars!

What to Bring: Water bottles, lunch, tennis shoes, spikes (optional), sunscreen, chalk or sticky spray (if desired), notebook (3-ring binder to hold instructional handouts), video camera (optional). Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Poles are optional as we will provide a full selection for use.

Online payments (credit card) accepted via PayPal for an additional $5 service charge at our website: http://lonestarpv.com/pole_vault_camp.htm ***Coaches and parents attend for FREE and are highly encouraged to do so!
