I changed the title of the thread to more accurately reflect what the standards are. Each district gets a certain number of qualifiers to state. These standards, if achieved at your state qualifying meet (districts/regionals/whatever) will qualify you to the state meet if you place outside of the number of allocated spaces.

For example, your district has three places. The 4th place finisher can only go to state if they hit the appropriate mark at their qualifying meet.

very good point. I was just figuring it was going to take a auto jump for both girls and boys to go anyways from our district.
