A new US masters PV record of 4.04 m (M60) was set this past weekend at the OD USATF Masters championship @ GVSU in MI. Here's a video of his vault from the meet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcn0mjuwmPI - Thanks to Ken Stone for making & posting this video on YouTube for us all to enjoy!

In watching a 2009 video of him jump at 3-rivers festival, the announcer said he was an Olympic trials competitor/qualifier in 1976, ’80, & ‘84.

Gary has quite a long trail of PB's as a masters vaulter. There are others who have jumped higher at age 35 & 40 like Jeff Hartwig & Pat Manson, but it will be tough to beat Gary for longevity.

5.08m 1991 @ age 35
4.89m 1999 @ age 43
4.78m i 2001 @ age 45
4.90m 2007 @ age 51
4.42m i 2011 @ age 55
4.36m 2013 @ age 57
4.31m i 2013 @ age 57
4.04m 2016 @ age 60

Congrats Gary & keep on vaulting!!
