Belgian Benoit Simonet tops masters fields at Reno Summit

Benoit Simonet of Belgium, 40, jumped 4.45 meters (14-7 1/4) as the best 40-and-over entrant at the National Pole Vault Summit on Friday in Reno. Benoit also won M35 at Winston-Salem outdoor nationals in 2014. In his younger days, Ben won the Belgian nationals three times.

Ben lives in the NYC area, trains and coaches at the Hudson Valley Flying Circus with Coach Tim St. Lawrence and Will Nesbitt.
