John has done it again. He raised the M65-69 age group record to 3.82. You are a tough man to keep up with John. Your ability and talent makes me work harder. I guess I need to start working smarter. Congratulations on the new record and I will see you in two weeks at Sacramento. With the list of competitors in our age group we should have a good event. Stay healthy.

Thanks Art and MP. Art, it has been your vaulting recently that has gotten me more focused. I'm still not where I want to be.
Worlds should provide a great opportunity for our age group to show that old guys can still vault. I'm looking forward to it and hope everyone is healthy and we have decent weather for the competition.

Circumstances made it so I couldn't set up my camera and so I didn't ask anyone to take video. But Dan actually did get my 11-6 and 12-0 vaults but not the 12-6. That being said, there may have been video taken by another person. I'm trying to follow that up now. If I find video I will post it on my website.
I had some jumps at practice yesterday at a 13-0 bar that convince me I should be able to clear that. So I continue to work toward getting to, and hopefully surpassing, last year's PRs.

A link to video is on my
http://www.plvlt.com intro page as well as on my 2011 results page. Zaine Stapleton, one of Dan West's LCC vaulters took the video with Dan's camera. Thanks to everyone.

John,
I watched the video and as usual you look great. I think you are ready for Saturday! Matti and I are going to get in a "short" (warm up and a few short run throughs) practice on Thursday. We do not have a specific time yet but it will be in the afternoon because Matti will be arriving in the morning. If you are interested in joining us let me know and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Thanks for the invitation. That would be nice to do, but our current plans are to drive down on Thursday and I don't think we would be in town until about 5pm. That may be too late for your plans. Prior to your offer, I was thinking I might try to do some practice at the other site (I don't remember the name right now) on Friday morning.

I believe the practice facility is located at:
American River College
4700 College Oak Dr.
Jumping Thursday gives me Friday for recovery. Maybe I will come over and see you Friday. My cell is 520-400-5186. Have a save trip.
