Poles in Sacramento

Hi all

I am a pole vaulter from Australia competing in Sacramento in July.

I am wondering if any vaulters living in Sacramento have 15 foot poles in the range 16, 15.6 and 15.2 or 180lbs to 185lbs.

I am not able to get my poles across and I fear they will not provide these poles.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Mark Jeffery

If you can not find poles I have a 15'6 170, 175, 180 carbon fx poles. If you hold the same spot they should be about the same as a 15ft 180, 185, 190. I have the 15'6 flexes but do not know what the flexes would be if flexed as a 15ft pole. Big jump between the 170 and 175 19.0 to 17.6 the 180 is a 17.0. I also have poles if you need bigger ones then this I live an hour and a from Sacramento I am up that way a lot.

Thanks Kasey, you are very kind.

I shall see what the organisers provide when they post on the website and get back to you. Could I get your mobile phone number by any chance?

As a 20 year old in 1990 I jumped 5.3m and as a 41 year old I am jumping around 4.3m doing masters.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks

Mark

If you are jumping on the 11th in the M40-44 group I should have some poles you could use...I jump on 15 foot poles, I will have 2 75's (17.4 and 16.8 flex) and one 80 (16.2 flex), all Pacer carbons...I am going to create a separate post, but I do need assistance getting these from the airport, so if you are planning on getting a rental car, that would be great...

Hi DB

Thanks for your generous offer.

I am very disappointed with the list of poles provided. 14 foot is the longest and 16.3 the stiffest.

I require a 15 foot 15.6 for the Decathlon on 6 July and pole vault on the 11th July.

It would be great if all the vaulters could talk and cross reference poles. I'm getting a bit worried about this.

cheers

Mark

can't help you on the 6th...one person I know of in the Bay Area who has a good selection of Spirits is Bob Slover down in Los Gatos, not sure how you would get them to Sacramento, but perhaps someone like Joy Upshaw could assist, I think you could reach out to her on Facebook...that is an option...not sure why Sac State won't pony up some poles, they would have something you could use
