We in the Sacramento area miss Paul a lot, especially now that the high school season is under way.

I came across this news quite by accident. In 2007, Paul was so excited to learn that Sacramento would be the place for Nationals in 2010, and the Worlds in 2011. Knowing the great competitor he was, I expected to see him atop the results lists. It hit me hard to realize that he will never make it to these "home turf" meets.

I have been torn away from PV for a few years, but Paul's passing is helping me to find my way back.

He gave so much to this world, and has been a tremendous example to me--so I thought I'd try to give back a little. I've created this video "For Paul":

We all have to die, but for the special ones it sometimes just doesn't seem fair.

Paul was one of the special ones.
