SOME of you Master Vaulters might relate to this

Unread postby Bruce Caldwell » Sun Dec 21, 2003 11:17 am

I have been married now three times.
(Four if you count the pole vault as a spouse GRIN)
I always say:

First time I was too young and foolish!
Second time it was for money and when she left I got none of it. (Just kidding) AND
Third time forever!!!

But I look back and see that my first and second wife were pole vault widows as I spent so much time working with the vaulters, the business, and ideas that they took no interests.

This time the third time I am fortunate to have Bonnie Bargainbonnie screen name on here as one who loves the pole vault, enjoys the meets, and the vaulters who travel through to stay with us.

You may see her on here from time to time, so say HI.
She is pole vault friendly and takes a lot of interest in the sport in between shopping of course!!!

SO this post is really for her to thank her for letting all the vaulters who travel through stay with us, the interests she has in the business and the pole vault event.

I am blessed to have such a wife who is glad I am not an armchair football fanatic, but will watch every track meet on TV if you can find any??

ANY of you master vaulters lose a spouse over the pole vault event and your participation??????

PS: yes she carries around with her a rubber band full of coupons from restaurants to free movie tickets.
I love the PV, it is in my DNA

My wife, the only one I have ever had, was full aware when she said I DO 14 yrs ago she was also marrying the vault and the vault life style. So I guess I got lucky. On a side not she also knew I was acually Papa Smurf in disguise. :dazed:

I married my beautiful wife for what she was and is. I make time for her just as I make time to coach pole vaulting not the Idea of convience to meet my schedule. She is not athletic and we are, I quess opposite is the word and we attracted. 28 yrs of marriage same one.

I cheated, I found the easiest way to make sure your spouse is interested in the vault, I married a pole vaulter!
