ncaa rules?

i was wondering if their were any rules on weather you could wear some type of glove while vaulting? i remember seeing film of mike westlund jumping at ncaa indoor nationals with one? any info?

theres no rule
i wore won for about a month after i broke a pole and obliterated my left hand. i didn't like it very much though, my hand would just be saturdated by the time vaulting was done, and the glove ripped after about 2 weeks.

yeah i would imagine so, i would think that on a big enough pole the glove would slide back a little too, just wondering though.

what type of glove would you wear?
a batting glove i'm guessing
trivia--who invented the batting glove? and what kind of glove did he initially use?

We sometimes use receiver's gloves for rope and pole swinging drills.

This has been discussed before, and in
this post from that discussion is the rule allowing glove use in NCAA.
