5 lefts, 76'+... i made all first attempts and tried once at 5.40m and called it a day. storybook

Just another great performance at the new indoor track in Albuquerque.
Texas junior Trey Hardee made the most of his first competition at Albuquerque's world-class indoor track facility, shattering teammate Donovan Kilmartin's collegiate record with a winning score of 6,208. Kilmartin was second with a score of 5,870, well over the NCAA automatic qualifying standard.
The red-hot Hardee picked up where he left off on Thursday, scorching the field with a time of 7.87 in the 60-meter hurdles and dominating the pole vault as well with a mark of 17-04.50. Needing a 1,000-meter time of 3:02 or less to reach the NCAA record, Hardee completed the five laps in 2:55.16, three seconds behind unattached athlete Nate Koch. Hardee won five of the seven events over the two-day competition to better Kilmartin's 2004 record by 72 points.
Two vaulters made provisonal heights -
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The University of New Mexico pole vaulters continued to thrive in the friendly confines of the Albuquerque Convention Center as Derek Mackel and Whitney Johnson combined for a UNM sweep of the men's and women's events today in the New Mexico Invitational. Mackel surpassed the NCAA provisional standard for the second straight week with a mark of 17-07.25 and Johnson had a provisional qualifying vault of 12-11.50 to lead a strong effort by the Lobos in a 13-team field that included the No. 15 Texas Tech men.
Both Mackel and Johnson bowed out after narrowly missing all three attempts at the UNM indoor records in their respective events. Coming off a career-best 17-11.00 clearance last week, Mackel ended his day after a valiant run at Simon Arkell's 1991 record of 18-01.50. Johnson, meanwhile, missed on all three attempts to surpass Bridgid Isworth's 2003 mark of 13-02.50. Mackel led a 1-2-3 finish for the Lobos in the men's vault as junior Robert Caldwell cleared 16-08.75 and sophomore Zach Graham recorded a collegiate best mark of 16-02.75.

DALLAS -- University of Texas senior Trey Hardee (Birmingham, Ala.) became Texas’ third men’s or women’s Big 12 Conference Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week in as many weeks Tuesday after recently breaking the NCAA heptathlon record previously held by his teammate.
Last week at the University of New Mexico Multi-Events Meet, Hardee totaled 6,208 points in the heptathlon, eclipsing the NCAA record score of 6,136 points set by his teammate, junior Donovan Kilmartin (Eagle, Idaho), at the 2004 NCAA Championships.
Hardee won five of the seven heptathlon events and set new personal bests in four events (60 meters, long jump, 60-meter hurdles, pole vault). His heptathlon score topped the NCAA automatic-qualifying mark by nearly 600 points, enabling him to compete in the event at the 2006 NCAA Championships.
Hardee also added NCAA provisional-qualifying marks in the long jump, 60-meter hurdles and the pole vault. He joins UT junior high jumper Andra Manson (Brenham, Texas) and UT freshman high jumper Destinee Hooker (San Antonio, Texas) as Big 12 athletes of the week this season.
Hardee’s honor marks a league-best seventh time a Texas men’s indoor track and field athlete has earned weekly accolades from the Big 12 Conference.
