LOGAN, Utah - Utah State's Kathryn Duhadway set a school record in the pole vault with a mark of 3.97 meters (13-00.25), to lead USU effort in its first home meet of the indoor season.
Duhadway's teammate Kaylene Gastaldi also had a personal best mark in the pole vault and came in second place with a mark of 3.77 meters (12-04.50).
"Kat had an amazing day with several personal bests in a row to have a provisional qualifying mark for nationals, and indoor school record, and the fieldhouse record, said Joel Johnson, USU assistant coach.

"She's the greatest training partner," Duhadway said. "We're really supportive of each other."

Salisburg was named a co-Field Performer of the Week for winning the pole vault with a school-record height of 2.80 meters (9-feet-2).
Erica Dressler '09 (Farmington, Conn./Miss Porter's School), Amanda Salisburg '08 (Duanesburg, N.Y./Duanesburg Central School) and Akilah Bond '09 (Amherst, Mass./Amherst Regional HS) all helped lead the Hamilton women's track and field team to a 92-38 win against visiting Nazareth College in a dual meet at Scott Field House on Jan. 21.
