question about college apps

i was wondering if you are hoping to get recruited by a school that you know you can't get in academically, do you still have to turn in an application?

Unfortunatly yes.. you do. depending on the division ( 1 2 3 ) the athletics department may have some pull in the admissions process. But as far as I remember from coming in, you must apply to the school. They have to accept you academically as well as on the track. The division and the coaches may be able to pull strings behind the scenes, but that all depends on the school.

at my school, (Hope College) you have still have to apply. but, the coaches have some power in the admissions office. i want to say that they can even get application fees waived if need be (but dont quote me on that one).
