WILMINGTON, Ohio - Wilmington College athletic director Terry Rupert has
announced the hiring of Kyle Wolf for the position of head women's track
and field coach and assistant volleyball coach.
Wolf, who is the school record holder in the pole vault for the indoor and outdoor track seasons was an eight-time All-American, seven in the pole-vault and once in the 4x400-meter relay.
After graduating, the Anderson Township native trained with Sky Jumpers pole vault club in California, where he trained with Dean Stuckey, who placed third at the World Championships along with Justin Norberg. He also worked with San Luis Sports Therapy Clinic in San Luis Obispo, California,
where he did personal training along with helping with physical therapy.
"We are pleased to have someone with Kyle's history at the helm of our women's track program," said athletic director Terry Rupert. "He brings a great record of success with him that he will pass along to the other runners."
The 2005 Quaker track and field team ended the season with the school's second ever national champion, as Doreen Nagawa placed first in the triple jump at the NCAA Division III National Meet.
