As Becca stated, just go and see what other people have done. I don't think a basic training log will be all that interesting to read, from what I've delt with in the past. I think the public looks for insight into your training and competition, not just what is written down on paper.
You also have to ask yourself if people would actually be interested in what you have to say.
I've had two vaulters willing to participate so far, which is great.

Guidelines for this year:
http://www.trackshark.com/blogs/home.php
Welcome to the new Trackshark Blogs. The Blogs will work just like the journals in the past, yet users will have full control over the updates and publishing. Any student-athletes, professional athletes, coaches and anyone else involved in the sport of track & field are welcome to apply for a free blog. We will do all the hosting, programming and maintenance. All you have to do is type away! Are you interested in having your own blog at Trackshark.com? Please review our guidelines below.
- Are you willing to update your blog at least 5 times (entries) per month?
- Can you elaborate more on your training other than just what you did at practice?
- Do you think the viewing public will be generally interested in what you have to say?
- If you are a writer or a journalist in the sport, do you think a blog will help enhance your service?
- If you are a professional athlete, do you think a blog will help your sponsor?
- If you are a coach, do you think a blog will help your program and university?
• Contact us if you meet the above guidelines and provide us with some simple background information about yourself, such as your full name and accomplishments.
