NCAA attendance way down

Des Moines IA NCAA Attendance

After attracting a then-record 41,187 fans for the NCAA meet in 2008, total attendance dipped to 29,377 last year. This week’s event drew 20,048 fans.

Ticket prices are off the charts. People would rather do other things with their money. $30.00 a day plus.

Solutions for a dead sport.....duh!

Never have the meet in Des Moines, IA....in the hood......duh? Are you kidding me?

Only have the meet in proven attendance sites.....Texas, Eugene, LSU, Florida, Mt. Sac, Penn

Make attendance free........concession sales on a packed house would far outweight tickets sales for an empty stadium of mostly loyal friends/family/staff

Bus in school kids to fill sections and have the compete for the loudest screamers for free t-shirts or laps around the track and high fives from athletes

Turn off the stupid ncaa commercials.......idiotic

Actually announce the meet beyond just the slow jogging "races" or fast running events

3 DAY MEET! No more......ridiculous

Open all gates and BEG people to come inside.....simply limit small sections to reserved seating otherwise

Make the meet athlete focused...not rules focused

Actually provide shade for 24 vautlers instead of just 12 vaulters when its 90 degrees and there is no shade. But that was funny watching the bro love all squeezed up and cuddling under the one stupid shelter.
"pole vaulters are made in the last 4 strides"
